Technology is “brittle forever present”. Obsolescence is “king”.
Was at exhibition in the V&A museum where the digital curator was talking about things like trying to start the history making original iPhone 1. Not possible as they couldn’t get past the activation server process as Apple servers no longer support that model. Even if they got past that, there’s no 3G mobile network to connect the device sim-card.
However we have paper/papyrus artifacts from ages gone by.
